We only have skinny side access to the backyard/pool. Bejay came out and made sure he could get down there to do our job. Did our pool excavation in our last place we flipped too and the work was to the same great standard. Our youngest son pretty much lived at the window watching him work and was thrilled when Bejay invited him for a ride in the digger. Highly recommend QES.
Would highly recommend QES. Our gravel driveway was so bad we had been driving on the lawn beside it. After some poor DIY attempts we got Bejay out to have a look. He explained to my husband and I what needed fixing underneath, not just putting more gravel over it. We've had a decent lot of rain since and its held up well.
Bejay did our shed pad quicker than anyone else reckoned they could. Came up good and concreter was happy. Would get him back.
We needed some site clearing behind the shed but wanted to keep the bigger trees and a few smaller ones my husband had planted. I wasn't home while he did the work but he asked to walk the area with me first when he came to quote the job to note exactly what I wanted to stay. Came home and it was just as discussed. QES did some drainage work beside our driveway a few months ago. Previously the water would sit right where we get out of the car. Waited until we'd had some rain before leaving a review and it's made a big difference. Still get a bit of water further down the yard but the area we asked him to fix is draining properly now. He also entertained my kids during school holidays who were obsessed with watching him all day haha.
Had an access track put in down to the back paddock. Can finally get the trailer down there without going the long way round. Good job Bejay cheers.

We operate a 5.5 tonne excavator sized for residential blocks, a skid steer loader for site preparation and material handling, and a 10 tonne tipper truck for fill delivery and spoil removal. All machinery is owned and operated by the same person who quotes your job.
A standard residential pool excavation typically takes one day, depending on the size, depth, access, and ground conditions. Tight-access sites or rock may require additional time. We confirm the timeline during the site assessment so you and your pool builder can plan around it.

A site cut involves excavating and levelling the ground to create a flat, stable building pad. This includes clearing vegetation, cutting to the engineered level, compacting the base, shaping drainage, and removing spoil. We complete site cuts to engineering specs with proper compaction so the site is ready for footings and slab.
It depends on the size of the job and your block. Under Bundaberg Regional Council’s planning scheme, small earthworks are accepted without an approval: broadly no more than 50 m³ of material, excavation no deeper than 1 m and only minimal fill. Bigger site cuts or fill need council approval, planning overlays on some land may add requirements, different rules apply to farm works on Rural-zoned land, work in the road reserve such as a driveway crossover needs council approval, and houses and most sheds need building approval through a certifier. We flag what is likely to apply at the site visit and work to the approved plans. Council or your certifier gives the definitive answer.
